Very cool stuff whett. Love those Steranko covers. Looks like you're a believer in buying restored books as well. Is there a limit to how much resto you'll accept in a book?

Generally on the late 60 books I accept anything that has restoration as a color touch. Just because they are pretty common books and they are easy to find in unrestored grades if one is willing to wait. The color touch and restored label are just ways for me to get a book I want at a cheaper price. And I've made profits off restored books in the past (Hero for Hire #1 retored to be exact).

When it get to be early Silver Age Mega Keys I usually go for restoration because of pricing and then I'm just looking for something that presents well and wasn't completely Frankenstein'ed. Fantastic Four #1 is a good example of a book I wanted to own but couldn't afford in unrestored grades so simple found one at a reasonable price and restoration I'm willing to live with. At that point I was buying the book and not the CGC restored grade. Very Happy

In the Bronze Age I've been pulling away from restored copies not because I don't think they aren't nice to own but because Bronze is so easily obtainable.

Copper, same as Bronze.

Hadn't actually seen this before so was really nice to view these Silver Age gems! And insightful comments about restoration too.
This year I really want to get a slabbed copy of Strange Tales #110 & am saving for a high grade copy, but they seem to be scare in any grades...

That particular issue is all about drugs. Nick gets a shot in the arm and he's tripping pretty hard. So he can't figure out if the shadow men are his guys or the enemy. Great comic! Thumbs Up

I freakin love it! The Dali-esqe landscape was masterful.... Steranko really is a genius.... and as far as silver-age has gotta be up there with my favorite silver age artist of all time! Applause
